Additionally, we provide specialized evaluation procedures, including functional capacity evaluations and pre-employment functional screenings.

Myofacial Decompression (Cupping)

Cupping is a safe treatment that may help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation, and overall well-being. Cupping can also serve as a type of deep tissue massage.

OSPT was the first facility to provide dry needling in the Acadiana area. Needling is a popular treatment for patients, as it helps to heal muscles faster and increase blood flow. Our trained professionals skillfully apply very fine needles with little to no discomfort

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a process in which a clinician uses a set of handheld instruments to break down the scar tissue and fascial restrictions in soft tissues (muscles, ligaments, tendons, fascia, and nerves). Adhesions within the soft tissue that may have developed as a result of surgery, immobilization, or repetitive strain, are broken down therefore allowing the patient to regain function.
